The role of an asset manager is to represent ownership in the oversight of an asset including oversight of the management company as well as government officials, banking relationships, taxing authorities and other entities that have business at the asset level. A good asset manager will get the most out of the operator / management company, keep everyone focused on the grand asset strategy and, maximize asset value.
