Hartland Hotel Group

Hartland Hotel Group (HHG) is a privately held real estate development and management advisory firm. It is owned by Jack van Hartesvelt and Mark van Hartesvelt, two brothers who have distinguished careers in the development, management and asset management of iconic hotels and resorts throughout North America and the Caribbean.

Our Strategic Hospitality Services are designed with one goal in mind: to create and maintain advantaged assets. Hartland Hotel Group partners with owners and developers to create long term, sustainable, competitive advantages, that matter.
To accomplish this, we function as an advisory partner in select hospitality investments bringing our knowledge and proven track record in evaluating potential hotel / resort opportunities and determining a unique vision and marketing position that will provide the asset with meaningful advantages over the competitive set. We then turn our focus on execution: insuring that everyone from design to operations executes to that vision.
Over the past decades, the Principals have developed and/or managed a number of iconic hotels and resorts that have not only won numerous national and international awards but that also provided for superior financial returns. These assets include such hotels as the Hotel Figueroa, Los Angeles, the Liberty Hotel in Boston, the ZaZa Hotels in Dallas and Houston, the W Hotel Union Square, NYC, the Mosaic Hotel, Beverly Hills, and the W Hotel, San Diego. Combined Mark and Jack have developed and/or run over 400 hotels throughout their career.
